Welcome and thanks for visiting the website of the Flatlanders Chapter of Muskies, Inc. Muskies, Inc. has over 6000 members and 56 local chapters. We have become the national voice for the protection of the Muskellunge species. Muskies, Inc. is widely recognized as the first group of anglers to espouse the “Catch and Release” practice now embraced by many conservation minded groups throughout North America.
The Flatlanders Chapter, based in Rockford, Illinois is dedicated to fulfilling the three critical purposes of Muskies, Inc.: Youth, Fisheries and Research. We provide the opportunity for people of various fishing abilities to join and fish with an organization that is environmentally conscientious, one that takes great pleasure in muskie fishing, and one that emphasizes the continued development of the next generation of muskie anglers – our youth! The main focus of our chapter is the furtherance of Muskies, Inc.’s core areas of Youth, Fisheries and Research and as an insubstantial part of our activities, to allow folks across the area to gather and enjoy muskie fishing.
